Getting ready for ‘Eid is a welcomed tradition in our home. Everybody has their fair share of work to do.

Tasks range from reminders on doing good deeds the first 10 days of Dhul-Hijjah, to making sure that transportation is ready, to cleaning and cooking. And someone around here is always up to some last-minute sewing.

Our ‘Eid menu is planned out and food purchases have been made. ‘Eid is happening in the fall this year and the menu most surely reflects that . . . yumm!

Also, friends don’t let friends spend ‘Eid alone; those who do not have family nearby or who do not have Muslim family are always welcome at our place.

Once all the work is done and invites extended, we get to enjoy the ‘Eid festivities!
