compostTo My Little Misses Cosmos,

July is hot, hot, hot. And the plants feel it too. While they love the heat and the sun, they require a bit more care such as more frequent watering and checking for little pests seeking shade and food.

What did you write in your garden journal last year about July?

Aside from browsing through your notes, see what your Cooperative Extension office’s monthly gardening calendar says July gardeners need to be doing.  Go to the Cooperative Extension interactive US map, click on your state then county, find (or search for) the “monthly garden calendar”.
